Crosby looks to rebuild reputation after being spotted at Bieber concert

Sidney Crosby recently purchased heavy metal concert tickets in a desperate attempt to rebuild his street-cred in the city of Pittsburgh. The Penguins captain took a big time PR hit after he was spotted at a Justin Bieber concert in late November at the Consol Energy Center.

“I got a telegram from (Penguins center Evgeni) Malkin telling me that the lockout was over and that we had a home game that night, so I grabbed my tightest hoody and went to the arena,” Crosby stated, “When I got there they told me that all games until mid-December were already canceled and that I should have gone to college so I would be able to read the newspaper. That made me pretty angry, but they let me watch the concert for free and I’ve gotta say it wasn’t a bad show.”

We e-mailed Evgeni about the incident, he had this to say about the alleged prank:

“Sid good guy, needz two pass me puck. Shoot nd score, time to rest. весь дело Mдlkin”

The incident has Pittsburgh sports fans questioning the amount of respect they have for their team’s captain, but Crosby is confident that his attendance at the heavy metal concert will help renew his masculinity. He also said he’s never listened to heavy metal music before, but he’s excited to finally get to wear his new black leather pants.
