Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his wife gave birth to their first child on November 21st, and sources tell the Pierogi that while Benjamin Jr. is in good health and settled into his new home, he is having a lot of trouble identifying the zone blitz.
“I’m not going to lie and tell you that I’m not frustrated about it,” said Ben Senior “he just isn’t picking up on the zone blitz. We’ll watch tape and I’ll hit pause right before a snap and ask the kid how many men are rushing… he just sits there and cries… like a baby.”
When Roethlisberger was asked if he knew how old his child actually was, he shrugged the question off and was immediately rushed to the hospital with shoulder pain resulting from the shrug.
Ben did applaud the infant’s calm pocket presence, although his wife, Ashley, disagreed. “There’s nothing calm about that little guy in the pocket, I don’t know if I’ll ever be the same down there,” Ashley stated as she kicked our reporters out of the house because it was time for Baby Ben’s afternoon protein shake.
